Joyful Noise Recordings is an independent record label from Indianapolis, Indiana specializing in experimental indie rock. The label was founded in 2003 in Bloomington Indiana by Karl Hofstetter, who also played drums on many of the label's first releases. Joyful Noise has since grown to include 20+ artists such as Joan Of Arc, Marmoset, Jookabox, Child Bite, CJ Boyd, Prizzy Prizzy Please, Hermit Thrushes, Hi Red Center, and others.

In 2010 Joyful Noise began focusing largely on limited edition, hand-numbered, and specialty releases which are generally released on analog formats packaged with music downloads. The label has gained notoriety for being at the forefront of the resurgence of cassette tapes, as reported in The Washington Post, Under The Radar, Blurt, and other music magazines. Joyful Noise has released a Cassette Box Set from Joan Of Arc as well as cassette versions of Deerhoof's Deerhoof vs. Evil album, of Montreal's False Priest, and others.
